Our guests for this year's Whit Tour were old friends Shropshire Bedlams, Martha Rhoden's Tuppeny Dish and Glory of the West.

After meeting up at the Cowick Barton on the Friday night, Saturday morning saw us gathering in central Exeter. It was a very enjoyable day, helped by the weather, including an extremely pleasant lunchtime sojourn at the City Gates.

In the evening there was a ceilidh with the GWBB plus friends ... the highlight of the event being Nick's vocals when he appeared for The Greyness, ably supported by The Undertones.

The weather wasn't quite so clement on the Sunday, when we headed for East Devon in our coaches. We started at Colyton and then were drenched as we walked to the station to get the Trams for Seaton.

There we danced on the sea-front, before beginning the long procession to Beer. We made a welcome tea-stop halfway there and danced for the Garden Party, before continuing to our triumphant entry at Beer - and the final dance spot.

Thence to the Mariner's Hall for a magnificent feast (courtesy of Chris, Chris, Trevor, et al) and subsequent entertainment ... including Pete M's spectacular Pole Dance.

Monday lunchtime we gathered at the Mill on the Exe for food and farewells. The end of a lovely weekend.
